Testimonials
The e-centre has provided the support resources and advice that have helped me to develop Cantovation into a viable business. Also, through the networking opportunities provided by the e-centre ecosystem, I have been able to strengthen the business by building alliances with other entrepreneurs associated with the e-centre.
William Thorpe CEO Cantovation www.cantovation.co.nz Who Stole My Money was invited to e-centre, a few months back and our joining has been the best business decision we've made so far. e-centre has helped us to build a very experienced advisory board that plays a significant role in the strategic planning and execution of our business growth. Who Stole Money is taking off at a rate we could only dream of before. Steve and his team are always approachable and willing to give honest and knowledgeable feedback that are crucial to the success of any company. Their excellent team coupled with top class facility makes e-centre the absolute most recommendable business environment for serious entrepreneurs. Grace Xue CEO Who Stole My Money www.whostolemymoney.com DHI is an internationally recognised company specialising in applied research, software development and consultancy services in all fields related to the water environment. In seeking to establish a New Zealand office in 2004, DHI was fortunate to be invited to the Massey University business incubator in Albany. The e-centre office and support facilities, including high speed internet, shared meeting and training rooms, have proved to be of enormous value to DHI. As DHI New Zealand has grown, we have moved offices three times whilst remaining within the e-Centre environment and so avoiding the major disruptions this would usually entail. DHI have benefited from the close connections to the Massey University academic departments and are pursing a number of opportunities in joint software development and research. Black Dog Solutions started at the e-centre just nine months ago, building customised web-based software applications for the ever-growing small to medium business market. We approached Massey University, e-centre as we knew we needed help to grow to planned rates and had heard through the University grapevine that they offered great support and an encouraging environment for new IT businesses looking to export. BioDiesel Oils (NZ) Ltd is a resident in the e-centre Massey University Albany Auckland. Lynton Bridger Information Logistics The value of the e-centre is the 'people' within providing an environment which is conclusive to 'thinking'.
This environment with its unique mix of programming skills and business talent provides a combined knowledge pool capable of testing and evaluating any idea or product, combined with support to share strategies to successfully take these products to market.
The e-centre also requires a business model that is honest and true, there are a very few 'instant products'. The battle to get 'market identity' and a share thereof can be dependant on the target market selected. The ability to evaluate and measure these markets is a learnt skill. Building a relationship with these markets and the people within takes time. We entered the market as an ‘unknown’ with version 1 of the Infolog System. We are now building version 3 based on client feedback.
We are now recognised as providing a quality product and our clients are now our best salesmen. We thank the 'e-centre' and 'tenants' for the guidance provided while we look forward to rolling out ‘Infolog 3’ in 2008. It is this refined version which has the potential to become an international product.

QLBS.com Very early in our stay, Steve Corbett linked us with Kevin Riley and Mike Watson who are part of the New Zealand Business Foundation. We formed a Strategic Alliance with NZBEF which has been functioning successfully for 3 years and has raised the profile of Quantel considerably, as well as providing a clear market niche in the Baldrige excellence framework. We have also been linked with EDX, a business advisory and accountancy firm, which has been key to assisting us to implement good administration and financial systems and providing excellent support and business advice. EDX were instrumental in planning funding requirements and negotiating successful capital raising, which has been critical to our success. Our legal services have been provided by Genevieve Gill, also recommended by Steve, and feedback from other e-centre tenants who also use her services confirm she is an excellent legal advisor. She has formed an integral part of our (outsourced) team and contributed invaluable insights through her IT business experience. Additionally, Steve arranged for a series of sessions with an ex Microsoft Manager from USA who had launched Excel and who affirmed that we had a high value niche proposition and assisted greatly with overall pricing strategy. There have been a number of initiatives, including CEO networking, leadership development programmes, marketing programmes that have all helped in many ways. Recently Steve has linked us with researchers who are interested to publish papers about our work, which is of major benefit to us. The e-centre and Massey University have also become our own valued clients Keith Phillips (President)
