Entrepreneurship GraduatesPRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEe-centre Opportunity For Massey University Business Entrepreneurship Graduatese-centre ltd and Massey University College of Business have launched an internship programme for outstanding Massey University Graduates in order to actively support the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. The programme is aimed at students majoring in Entrepreneurship and began in June 2009 with the appointment of graduate student Sabrina Nagel. She and future graduate interns will work with a range of companies from those developing concepts to others developing global markets. The e-centre has a range of clients with technology businesses based at the Bob Tindall Building, and a number of “virtual” (offsite) clients. It is expected that the graduate intern will bring skills, ideas and concepts to assist the e-centre clients. The graduate intern will participate in real world company management, including idea evaluation, local and global market analysis, fund raising, and capability building. They will be mentored by a team of leading practitioners in the management of entrepreneurial companies and will have the opportunity to build networks and gain exposure before embarking on the next step of a professional career as an entrepreneur Quote Steve Corbett CEO e-centre: The internship programme works two ways: it is ideal in providing excellent resources to our companies and the student intern provides a direct linkage back into the university to continually build the business relationship with the University. Quote from Bill Kirkley. Massey University: “The internship programme provides the perfect opportunity for students to apply the theory into practice in a controlled but exciting environment” Students will be recommended on an annual basis by a senior lecturer teaching New Venture Studies at Massey University. The criteria will include a range of academic achievements with a specific emphasis on New Venture Studies and a student’s contribution to the University. |
