Seminar One of the best responses to the current economic changes is to produce or deliver more at lower cost. LEAN is a way of thinking that many companies and service organisations have applied to their business with outstanding results. LEAN is however just one of many different approaches to improving your business productivity. Productivity Improvement can result from a range of initiatives including improvement of: • Processes and systems • Management systems • Workplace management and culture • Quality management • Strategic planning and communication Most organisations have realised the need to work smarter not work harder. A key constraint for many is how to get started and what process is best for their business. What help is available? How can I talk to someone who has been there and done that in a business similar to ours? What will it cost? How much can I expect to save? Is there any government support? These questions and many more will be answered at a workshop on Productivity Improvement and LEAN being run by Enterprise North Shore. If you have already participated in a productivity improvement programme but would like to join an ongoing local network for sharing best practice then please come along and share your experience. This opportunity is not just for manufacturing companies. Some outstanding gains have been made by service companies, hospitals, warehouses and professional service companies.
