e-centre Virtual Residents

The e-centre offers business incubation type services to businesses that are not resident in the e-centre through a programme called “virtual residents”.

Companies and entrepreneurs that meet the e-centre entry criteria may choose to become virtual residents for a variety of reasons including travel distance, alternative more suitable facilities, collocation with partnering company, and prefer a home base.

Services can be negotiated on a case by case basis but will typically include:
• Access to e-centre networks
• Access to e-centre training courses for capability development
• Assistance with business plan development
• Assistance with establishment of advisory and governance boards
• Assistance with capital raising
• Access to a business mentor
• Access to Massey University expertise
• Assistance with Government funding schemes
• Use of meeting rooms, Board room, customer presentation room, and associated equipment
• Use of e-centre postal address
• Some use of e-centre brand
• Some administration support

Virtual residents can enter the programme at any stage of development from proof of concept to start-up to early stage growth.

The criteria for entry in to the virtual resident programme and the application process are the same as for residents.
